The successful completion of the restoration of a classic car is an experience which few people ever know. It is certainly rewarding and for many the accomplishment of a life long dream. Next, check under the floor board carpeting if any exists. You may discover that there are no rust issues or you may discover that the floorboards have completely rotted through. Also, take a look in the wheel wells which is another place where rust can occur. In the final analysis, if the car that you’re considering has excessive problems with rust it may be wiser to simply continue the hunt for a car that is more suitable for your restoration project.
On the other hand, if the car you’ve purchased has minor or moderate rust problems these can be dealt with, and once corrected the project can move in a forward direction.
